About

I have been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Training Group Integrating Ethics and Epistemology of Scientific Research since January 2016. I received my PhD in philosophy from University of Jyväskylä, Finland (dissertation: On the conditions for objectivity - How to avoid bias in socially relevant research) in September 2015, after which I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. I am also a member of the Academy of Finland Centre of Excellence in the Philosophy of Social Sciences. In my postdoctoral project I study the interplay between evidence and non-epistemic, e.g., cultural, financial, and ethical, factors in nutrition research. The focus is on how different non-epistemic interests are reflected in population-level nutrition guidelines.
