The Faculty of Business Administration and Economics and the Center for Mathematical Economics at Bielefeld University invite applications for a full-time

Assistant Professorship (W1) for microeconomic theory, especially game theory

beginning Winter term 2018/19.

The position is initially for three years, and can be extended to six years after a positive evaluation.
Successful candidates have a Ph.D. in Economics, Mathematical Economics, or related fields and should have first publications in their field. The assistant professorship is part of the faculty of Business Administration and Economics and will be located at the Center for Mathematical Economics a well-known research center at Bielefeld University. The Center looks back on a long tradition in theoretical microeconomics, in particular in the theory of dynamic games and their applications. We are looking for a reinforcement in this field, which in particular brings newer research streams in microeconomics (analysis of networks, information design or Knightian uncertainty) into our active research environment.
Teaching will be part of our curricula at the Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. level in microeconomics.

Formal requirements for appointments are detailed in paragraph 36 of the "Hochschulgesetz" of the state of North-Rhine Westfalia.
