The future position holder is to represent the subject of clinical psychology in research and teaching.
An internationally proven research profile is expected in research. A neuropsychological profile in research, teaching and practice is desirable. The research profile should be documented in particular by international publications and the successful acquisition of third-party funds. The willingness to cooperate with the basic and applied working groups of the Department of Psychology as well as with neighboring faculties is expected. In particular, the future holder of the position is expected to be involved in the department's research priorities "Life Perspectives - Opportunities and Adversities (Life Chances)" and/or "Intelligent Interactive Systems (IIS)", which are anchored throughout the university (see http://www.uni-bielefeld.de/psychologie/abteilung/selbstbild/ )
In teaching, the future position holder participates in training in clinical psychology in the bachelor’s and master's programs of the Department of Psychology. In particular, the psychological and/or psychotherapeutic treatment of patients with cognitive or cerebro-organic impairments (e.g. developmental delay, mental disability, conditions after craniocerebral trauma or stroke, dementia) in different age groups (children, adults, elderly) should also be represented. The future job holder should demonstrate proven didactic competence in teaching.
A prerequisite for the recruitment of a professorship is a doctorate and additional scientific achievements, that are evaluated exclusively and comprehensively in the appointment procedure. In addition, a German license to practice is required (or advanced training for licensure) in psychological psychotherapy or child and adolescent psychotherapy. Willingness to work in academic self-administration is a prerequisite.
The W2 position is limited to five years; a target agreement is formulated after appointment. If the evaluation is positive in the last year, the position will be taken over as a permanent W2 professorship. Evaluations are regulated according to the statutes for tenure track W2 professorships.
W2 tenure track professorships are firmly established at the University of Bielefeld as an equal appointment option. Tenure-track professors are offered a target group-specific personnel development program that provides support in the arrival phase, in the preparation of the interim evaluation, in the preparation of the tenure evaluation as well as in the evaluation of the tenure.
