The content-related construction work of the Medical School OWL, with the aim of starting the program in the winter semester 2021/22, is being developed in a project structure that is divided into a total of 12 projects:
The overall management of the development projects consists of the founding dean and the managing director of the Medical School OWL. Essential decisions are made by the Steering Committee for Medicine, which consists of the rectorate and the founding dean. The Steering Committee for Medicine bears overall responsibility for the development process and meets once a month. The build-up process is closely coordinated with the state government, in particular with the Ministry of Culture and Science (MKW) and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs (MAGS), among other things in regular workshops. In addition, the development process is supported in an advisory capacity by internal and external committees. Specifically, these are the Medical Advisory Board, which consists of national representatives of university medicine, the External Advisory Board, which is made up of representatives of the state government and regional and city representatives, and the university's internal Steering Committee for Medicine.
