Apart from the conceptual and academic considerations, the University is intensively working on finding a suitable location for the future faculty. This undertaking is guided by the short timeframe until the planned faculty opening, the expected successive growth of the faculty and the conceptual necessity for the faculty to be located in close proximity to the current Main University Building. The University commissioned an expert to examine the various options as to where the areas and buildings can be located. These options are now being discussed in detail with the state government and the Bau- and Liegenschaftsbetrieb (BLB) NRW, so that a decision can be reached without delay on how and where to build. The Innovation Centre Campus Bielefeld (ICB), which is currently under construction, serves as an interim accomodation. On 22 November 2018 the first 14 employees of the future faculty have already moved in.
