The time period is terminated to not more than four weeks, for which host families get paid 250 €. A caution from 50 € will be deposited. In most of the cases the students provide themselves with food. In some cases we will find a special arrangement.

The host family provides a single or more rooms. If you are hosting more than one student, you will have to make sure that both of them have their own room. The room should be provided with a basic of interior (bed, desk, wardrobe). Also, it is important that the guest has access to a bathroom and a kitchen

When and how are the guest students getting here?

In most cases the guest students are coming to us via plane. The arrival and departure day will be discussed within the coordination of the Bielefeld University.

How are the guest students insured?

The guest students are provided with health, liability and accident insurance through the DAAD or got an own health insurance beforehand.

Are we/ Am I suitable as a host family?
In general, an open door and a warm welcome in your own living space is all you need. Because of our grand offers in addition to the German Courses you do not have to feel obligated to provide your guest with any further activities. We would like that the time will be a great experience as much as for you as for your guest. Therefore, we try to find the perfect match for you with detailed questionnaires, which you and our guest students fill out beforehand.
