Olfactory-Tactile Integration
In this project we started characterising the activity of antennal lobe neurons in response to olfactory stimuli. We established multi-unit recordings in combination with 3D reconstructions of different brain regions to visualise the extracellular recording position. In a next step we will combine those methods to investigate cross-modal effects between olfactory, tactile and proprioceptive information at different processing levels in the Carausius morosus brain.
