Studying at the Faculty of Sociology
Welcome to the International Department of the Faculty of Sociology!
We attach great importance to the internationalisation of studies and teaching and offer a wide range of opportunities to gain international experience and network globally.
One special feature is our International Track in MA Sociology, which has been offered since the 2010/11 winter semester. Here you can complete your studies entirely in English or in a combination of English and German courses. International guest lecturers enrich our course programme every semester.
We also promote exchanges with numerous partner universities as part of the Erasmus+ programme, which supports the development of intercultural skills and the improvement of foreign language skills.
Since the 2016/17 winter semester, we have also been offering a double Master's degree programme in Sociology in cooperation with the University of Bologna, which enables students to obtain degrees from both institutions in two years.
