Nowadays it has more than 50 members from all over the university. Researchers from all faculties and university staff concerned with data science in their daily work are among its members.
Our approach to data science is holistic, in the sense that we are considering the entire data life cycle rather than setting an exclusive focus on data analysis.
Furthermore, we firmly belief that data science naturally fosters interdisciplinarity. When scientific discussion is focussed on data topics (data types, analytic methods, data sharing etc.) discipline boundaries are consequentially upstaged.
