Autoclaves

For reactions with gases under high pressure (e.g. hydrogenation reactions) we use two stainless steel autoclaves. The Carl Roth Model I has a 100 mL cylinder which can fit up to four thick-walled test tubes in which different samples can be prepared and stirred during the reaction. Reactions can be conducted at pressures up to 100 bar and 180 °C.
The man on the moon Millireactor is a compact system for common GC/HPLC septum vials (2 mL). When assembling the system, a needle punctures the septum of the vial and thus applies pressure to the reaction mixture. It is set up fast without additional tools and reactions can be conducted under inert atmosphere by evacuating or purging the system with protection gas before use. Reactions can be conducted at pressures up to 80 bar and 150 °C.
