The Ostwald Colloquium "Structure and dynamics in soft responsive systems" in 2025 will address a broad range of topics in the field of colloid, polymer and interface science.
A special focus will lie on structure and dynamical processes in colloidal and polymeric systems including smart and switchable materials. Such processes include self-assembly, the response behavior of hydrogels as well as phase transitions and disassembly/degradation.
Apart from fundamental aspects, we want to cover applications such as surface functionalization, separation, actuation, photonics, 4D materials and catalysis.
