YaBiNaPA grieves for our colleague Prof. Vardamides

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of PI Prof. Juliette Catherine Vardamides from the University of Douala. She passed away on October 26, 2021 after being sick for several weeks.

Prof. Vardamides was the first woman to become a full professor of organic chemistry in Cameroon. Besides, she was a highly committed PI of the project, participated and facilitated our network meetings and other project-related events. She was appreciated and held in high esteem and will be very much missed. Her loss leaves a void that will be difficult to fill.
