BiCDaS is a horizontal institute that develops Data Science at Bielefeld University and beyond. Together with partners at Bielefeld University, BiCDaS unlocks interdisciplinary data potentials.

As a central department of Bielefeld University, the Bielefeld IT Service Centre (BITS) also provides numerous data-related services for researchers at Bielefeld University.

Bielefeld University Press (BiUP) is the young, modern academic publisher of Bielefeld University, dedicated to scientific progress and the highest academic standards.

The Service Center for Medical Data Science is the central point of contact for researchers of the Medical School OWL for all questions relating to data, methods, processes and technologies for data-driven medical research.

The Zentrum für Statistik (ZeSt) emphasises the central role of statistics in teaching, research and application at Bielefeld University. Sufficient knowledge of statistics is a key competence to be able to work successfully in areas where data is used for decision-making or control.

The Statistik-Beratungs-Centrum (StatBeCe) - provides research-relevant statistical advice for researchers at Bielefeld University as well as for researchers at other universities.

The Competence Center for Research Data is a central service of Bielefeld University that supports researchers and other members of Bielefeld University in all questions concerning the management of research data. The Competence Center is a cooperation between the University Library (UB) and the Bielefeld IT Service Centre (BITS).

The Institut des Rechts intelligenter Techniksysteme (RiT) is a forum in which the normative challenges associated with the use of intelligent technology systems for law, state and society are discussed in an interdisciplinary setting and proposals for containing possible dangers and balancing conflicts are developed.

The Open Science Network (OSN) - Bielefeld University is a network of researchers from different faculties of Bielefeld University who are united by their interest in transparent, reproducible and trustworthy research.

The aim of the Data Champions Network is to actively shape the digital transformation of research, to promote good research data management and to openly discuss issues related to the handling of research data. The network is coordinated by the Competence Center for Research Data (cooperation UB & BITS) and the Service Center for Medical Data Science.

SOEP RegioHub investigates regional development dynamics and their political consequences. SOEP RegioHub is a scientific cooperation between Bielefeld University and the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP, DIW Berlin), funded by the Leibniz Association.

Researchers at Bielefeld University are involved in various roles in several consortia of the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), as well as being active in sections. In addition, Bielefeld University is a member of the Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI) e.V. association.
