Online Workshop:

Making the transition from research to writing: get some writing work done!

Dr. Vera Leberecht | June 16th 2025 | 10:00 a.m. (s.t.) - 04:30 p.m. | Zoom-Link: t.b.a.

In this hands-on workshop, we use the combined powers of deadlines, focus, and questions to get some academic writing done. You get to know and directly apply a structured approach that gives your more control over your writing — from first idea to finished text.

Throughout a long research phase, you may have lost sight of your original plans; we look at ways to readjust them with the progress you have made in the meantime. If you have a current unfinished writing project, bring it to the workshop and get some writing done!

At the end of the day, you have

  • experimented with different strategies to find your way (back) into the writing process;
  • worked with a structured approach to professional academic writing;
  • drafted, organised, and revised a text in several rounds;
  • got to know strategies to develop, and stick to, personal writing routines.
