Prof. Dr. Heather Hofmeister | to be determined with participants | 09:00-12:00 | Zoom
Professors need to make a lot of evaluations and hiring decisions in their everyday work. Often those decisions have a huge impact for the applicants, candidates, and those who are evaluated. At the same time those decision making processes are often time-critical and not done with the calm and professionality needed. Which could lead to unconscious biases and unwittingly mistakes.
Therefore this workshop addresses the evaluations and hiring decisions professors to enable the participants to
• develop skills for greater objectivity in criteria and procedures of selection and evaluation processes based on the latest research on implicit bias
• develop communication competencies and social justice skills
