AMaMeF was born as a programme network of the European Science Foundation in 2005. This framework lasted for 5 years during which AMaMeF was grown becoming a real network of reference in Europe. Its regular events constituted regular platforms for the exchange of knowledge via both large general conferences and smaller targeted events.
In the period from 2006 till 2010 the general AMaMeF conference was organised on a yearly basis thanks to the support of the European Science Foundation. From 2010 we decided to shift to the a biannual conference plan. The general AMaMeF conference is a major event which typically fosters smaller workshops.
