Synchronous - that is, live - "How to English" events will be taking place ONLINE on 6th, 7th and 8th April, and seminars in British and American Studies do not normally start in the first week of the semester for that reason. Instead, "How to English" offers students and staff the chance to get to know each other at the start of each semester, as well as the chance to focus on skills and information that everyone needs.

How to English events cater for students AT ALL STAGES OF THEIR DEGREES. Whether you are in your first semester, about to take PM4 or write your BA thesis, transitioning to the Master's phase, in the Master's or M.Ed. or planning your future career, there will be something for you: workshops teaching essential skills and giving crucial information (e.g. on the Internationalisation, Internationalisation at Home and Praxisstudien modules), as well as events with fun and getting-to-know-you opportunities. STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND THE RELEVANT HOW TO ENGLISH EVENTS to get essential information! If a seminar from another subject clashes with the event, then inform yourself via the How to English Lernraum, which is made available every semester.
