The "Neurocognition and Action - Biomechanics" group primarily focuses on the cognitive aspects of control and processes of human actions. Further contents of education are theories and application fields of sport psychology, empiric research methods and biomechanics as well as motor and neurocognitive diagnostics.
The work unit is responsible for the organisation and supervision of the Bachelor program "Psychology and Exercise" as well as the Master of Science program "Intelligence and Physical Activity". This is effected in close cooperation with the Department of Psychology, the Faculty of Biology as well as with the Technical Faculty.
Furthermore, the research area is closely involved in the international graduate school study program of the Cluster of Excellence Cognitive Interaction Technology (CITEC) and above that it is engaged in extramural training fields (e. g. training academies).
