Curriculum
The doctoral study programme Economics and Management, designed for three years, is starting with the winter term of an academic year.
BiGSEM candidates study according to the curriculum of their profile. They attend elective courses taking place at Bielefeld University.
The BiGSEM programme is offering all courses, seminars and research activities in English. For BiGSEM candidates it is mandatory to attend at the BiGSEM colloquium during the semester. Every doctoral student presents their own work or discusses relevant papers at least once a year. The sessions take place once a week during the semester.
Profiles can be changed during the cours of study given the corresponding required courses have been completed.

- Participation at an international/national scientific conference (2 ECTS)
Research Activity I
- Presentation at an international scientific conference (8 ECTS)
- Accepted paper in a scientific journal (8 ECTS)
- Research stay at a university other than the supervising universities (8 ECTS)
- Research internship (8 ECTS, more than 3 months)
Research Activity II
- Poster presentation at a conference (4 ECTS)
- Presentation of a paper at a research seminar outside (4 ECTS)
- Participation + Presentation BiGSEM Workshop (4 ECTS)
- Research internship (4 ECTS, less than 3 months)
